{"id":7780,"date":"2021-08-26T13:41:55","date_gmt":"2021-08-26T05:41:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wahtn.org\/?p=7780"},"modified":"2021-08-26T13:41:55","modified_gmt":"2021-08-26T05:41:55","slug":"new-cci-course","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/old-website.retprogram.org\/wahtn\/2021\/08\/26\/new-cci-course\/","title":{"rendered":"New e-course launched: Consumer and Community Involvement in Health Research"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Get an introduction to what consumer and community involvement in research is, and what it brings to best practice health and medical research, via our latest online training course.<\/p>\n<p>A collaboration between WAHTN&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/retprogram.org\/\">RETProgram<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/cciprogram.org\/\">CCIProgram<\/a>, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/retprogram.org\/training\/consumer-and-community-involvement-in-health-research\/\">Consumer and Community Involvement in Health Research<\/a> course is designed as an introductory course for\u00a0consumers, community members, researchers, administrators, policy makers and organisations involved in health research.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re thrilled to be offering the first e-course on CCI in Australia,&#8221; said Deb Langridge, CCIProgram Head. \u201cIt\u2019s a free 30-minute course available to everyone who is interested.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In the first two weeks following its launch, the course was completed by 23 people and received 100% positive feedback, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;The information was concise and relevant. The material challenged and extended my thinking around the topic.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;[The best aspect was] understanding the difference between participation, engagement and involvement.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Simple, easily accessible format.
