{"id":4955,"date":"2019-04-08T09:37:16","date_gmt":"2019-04-08T01:37:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.wahtn.org\/?p=4955"},"modified":"2019-04-08T09:37:16","modified_gmt":"2019-04-08T01:37:16","slug":"2019-redcap-workshops","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/old-website.retprogram.org\/wahtn\/2019\/04\/08\/2019-redcap-workshops\/","title":{"rendered":"2019 REDCap Workshops"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Telethon Kids Institute\u2019s Biometrics team provides access to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.project-redcap.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">REDCap<\/a> for all Telethon Kids, Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS), and Perth Children\u2019s Hospital (PCH) researchers.<\/p>\n<p>The workshops are intended as a hands on approach for researchers wanting to learn how to build and manage projects within REDCap or further develop skills in order to make use of some of REDCap\u2019s more advanced features.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The REDCap <strong>Basics workshop<\/strong> will offer an introduction to building databases in REDCap and will cover basic concepts and best practices to equip researchers in building a database for their research project. This workshop will be most useful to anyone building a new project in REDCap and those who have been tasked with managing or maintaining an existing database.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The REDCap <strong>Intermediate workshops<\/strong> offers a more comprehensive look at creating a database and using surveys, and will build upon the topics introduced in the REDCap Basics workshop.
