Health and medical projects have been selected as finalists in years previous &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newindustries.wa.gov.au\/ioty_2018\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">take a look at the 2018 finalists<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Past winners include UWAs <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marshallcentre.uwa.edu.au\/research\/the-noisy-guts-project\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Noisy Guts Project<\/a><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"2018 WA IOTY - Emerging Category Winner - The Noisy Guts Project\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/fUwZOhDJWKM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chemoathome.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chemo@Home<\/a> project<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"2018 WA IOTY- Growth Category Winner - chemo@home\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/FWADMb1n0HU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>There are 16 semi-finalists to be awarded and they&#8217;ll receive intensive business commercialisation training including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pitch presentation training<\/li>\n<li>One-on-one mentoring<\/li>\n<li>Legal health check<\/li>\n<li>Financial planning tools<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Eight finalists will also additionally receive a professionally edited video of their innovation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>An Applicant information session will be held on Monday 1 April, at ECU Joondalup.
