{"id":2503,"date":"2017-05-31T14:23:38","date_gmt":"2017-05-31T06:23:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wahtn.org\/?p=2503"},"modified":"2017-05-31T14:23:38","modified_gmt":"2017-05-31T06:23:38","slug":"new-grant-opportunities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/old-website.retprogram.org\/wahtn\/2017\/05\/31\/new-grant-opportunities\/","title":{"rendered":"New Grant Opportunities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Spinnaker Health Research Foundation, formerly known as the Fremantle Hospital Medical Research Foundation calls for expressions of interest (EOI) for its grants program for 2018:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Spinnaker Health Research Grants\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 multiple grants of up to $15,000 ($20,000 in exceptional circumstances)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Edith Hearn Bequest: Research Collaboration Grants<\/strong> \u2013 2 grants of up to $75,000 over 2 years (*strictly for Fremantle Hospital &amp; research into incurable diseases only)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Barry Marshall Travel Awards<\/strong> \u2013 2 grants of up to $2,500 or 1 up to $5,000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The EOI can focus on any area of medicine or community health with relevance to the Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospitals Group or the South Metropolitan Health Service. A substantial portion of the research must be conducted within the South Metropolitan Region.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Expressions of interest close:\u00a0noon, 30 June 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Researchers who are clinicians, allied health workers and scientists are encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n<p>Applications are sought from both early career and experienced researchers, with projects from early career researchers, as CIA and an associate mentor, receiving extra weighting.<\/p>\n<p>EOI to demonstrate:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Scientific merit, innovation and impact<\/li>\n<li>Value and significance to clinical application<\/li>\n<li>Significance and relevance to the south metropolitan community<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Shortlisted applicants will be invited to submit a full application by 30 August.
